NCIS L.A star Daniela Ruah reveals her dislikes about ‘Kensi Blye’

Daniela Ruah discussed her feelings about her NCIS LA character Kensi Blye.

Despite the fact that CBS’ long-running procedural drama NCIS Los Angeles is ending after season 14, Kensi Blye’s Daniela Ruah revealed some major details about her character. The actress discussed Kensi’s impulsive personality as well as her dislikes for her alter-ego.

Kensi debuted in season six as a headstrong and determined agent.

However, she quickly became a fan favorite due to her team loyalty and empathy for vict1ms.

Daniela Ruah, the show’s star, shed light on her character and discussed her impulsive behavior.

“I love her resilience and strength,” the actress said of Kensi.

“I admire her intelligence, her physical ability, her principles, and the fact that she stands up for what is right. She has very strong beliefs.”

“I think the things that I didn’t love about Kensi as much, I think she’s kind of grown out but in earlier seasons she was very physically impulsive,” Daniela said on The Wayne Ayers podcast.

“I believe she’s matured and realized that’s not an appropriate thing to do.

“So I think she’s outgrown the thing I don’t like.”

“She would punch Deeks [Eric Christian Olsen] if he made a bad joke or something,” Daniela continued.

“And now you’d say, ‘That’s not okay.'” You cannot simply punch people in the arm because you did not enjoy their joke.

“It was strange because it worked at the time, and I think it fell into what was acceptable.”

“Even the fans would bring it up and say, ‘If he punched you, this would be a whole different conversation,'” the 39-year-old added.

Kensi and her husband Deeks have been learning how to balance their careers and their new life as parents throughout season 14.

In the season 13 finale, the couple expanded their family by adopting Rosa, a teenager (Natalia Del Riego).

Thankfully, Kensi will be seen again before the series finale on Sunday, May 14.

Although the reason for the cancellation has not been disclosed, Deadline speculated that it could be due to budget cuts.

“Our crew has grown to be a true family, and their hard work and dedication has been fundamental to our success year after year,” executive producer and showrunner R Scott Gemmill said in a statement.

“My deepest gratitude to the cast members, who have brought our characters to life with their impassioned performances – thank you for your talent, professionalism and continuous enthusiasm.

“And thank you to our devoted viewers who adored our characters and followed their adventures.

“We are excited to bring the series to a close that is both satisfying and true to these beloved characters.”
