NCIS has released the first promotional trailer for the upcoming three-way crossover event, which will air on January 2, 2023 – and it looks incredible!
For the first time in the franchise’s history, the cast of the original series will collaborate with the stars of NCIS: Hawai’i and NCIS: Los Angeles in a three-part special.
The brief teaser shows quick flashes from the episode, including agents from each branch looking solemn before an explosion erupts at an unknown location, with a voiceover saying, “Whatever we’ve stepped into, it’s big.”
Worryingly, the video shows two characters who appear to be potential agents being held hostage. The two agents, who have sweat patches on their shirts, can be seen tied to chairs with black bags over their heads.
In the final moments of the 20-second trailer, teams from all three branches gather, with Vanessa Lachey’s Jane Tennant saying, “Call the Guinness Book of Records, we have the most senior field agents at a crime scene.”
Fans have reacted positively to the new promo, with many expressing their delight on Twitter. “I’M SO EXCITED,” one person wrote, while another added, “OMG OMG.”
The crossover event will take place in January.
In the upcoming three-hour event, fan-favorite agents from both shows will team up to solve a very personal and high-stakes case involving a mysterious hitman.
“Team members from the various NCIS divisions come together in Washington, D.C., to celebrate a beloved FLETC professor who taught multiple members of each of the squads,” according to the official synopsis.
“On the eve of the celebration, the professor is discovered dead of an apparent suicide, though his former students suspect foul play.”
“While looking into the professor’s past, the agents come across a mysterious hitman, and the deeper they look into it, the bigger the targets on their backs become.” When members of the teams are kidnapped, all of the agents must work together to bring the assassin down and save their own.”
