Tom Selleck’s long-running journey with Blue Bloods came to an end on December 13 with the series finale, “End of Tour.” After 14 seasons and over 14 years, the CBS hit-featuring stars like Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, and Will Estes-cemented its place as a network favorite.
The 78-year-old actor is now settling into a peaceful family life with his wife, Jillie Mack, and daughter, Hannah Selleck. Just days after the series finale, the Selleck family celebrated Hannah’s 36th birthday on December 16.
While Hannah, a champion equestrian and proprietor of a boutique breeding and training enterprise, kept her festivities quiet, the family most likely congregated on their 65-acre California avocado ranch.
The ranch, a serene retreat, has long been a source of joy for the Sellecks. Despite not being an avocado fan himself—he famously gagged after trying one on The Late Show with David Letterman-Tom enjoys the yearly harvest and the tranquility of the property.
As Christmas approaches, Tom thinks about family traditions. For years, the Sellecks have hosted events at their historic ranch, a 1910 hunting lodge. However, as the family grew, huge festivities became impractical. Christmas is now a smaller celebration with Jillie and Hannah, with occasional visits to extended family but a focus on spending quiet time together.
Looking ahead, Tom is set to turn 80 in January but has no grand plans. “I stopped celebrating birthdays a while back,” he admitted. “I’ll probably just have dinner with my brother, sister, Jillie, and keep it simple.”
For Tom, family remains at the heart of life, even after closing the chapter on one of his most iconic roles.
