In a message shared with People, ABC clarified Strahan’s situation, stating:
“Michael Strahan will not be with us this week as he is dealing with some personal family matters. We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and concerns.”
The network did not disclose further details about the family matter.
Strahan’s absence has also been felt on Fox Sports, where he is a regular contributor. His colleague, Curt Menefee, addressed the situation during a broadcast, explaining that Strahan is attending to the same personal issue.
