Blue Bloods star ‘Still Holds Onto Hope’ for Season 15 Despite CBS Cancellation

Abigail Hawk, known for her role as Detective Abigail Baker on Blue Bloods, has expressed her lingering hope that CBS will reconsider its decision to cancel the long-running police drama after 14 seasons.

In an exclusive interview with Screen Time, Hawk stated, “Of course, we are sad, but you never know.” Although the show’s sets have been demolished, she believes they might be reconstructed quickly if given the opportunity. “There’s still a little teeny bit of a silver needle somewhere in the hope haystack,” she told me.

Despite the announcement in November 2023 signaling the end of the Reagans’ journey, both Hawk and the show’s fans remain optimistic. “The resolve is there,” she stated, referencing Tom Selleck’s memoir, You Never Know. Hawk added that she feels a void has been left by the show’s cancellation and suggested that the higher-ups might come to regret their decision.

Hawk praised the passion of her co-stars, including Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, and Will Estes, who are all eager to return if given the opportunity. “We have clearly seen that it’s out of our hands,” she remarked, expressing grief at the show’s termination while also looking forward to new prospects in her career.

With unanswered questions lingering, fans are left wondering whether Blue Bloods might make an unexpected comeback for a 15th season or if a spin-off could be on the horizon. Only time will tell.
