Primetime fans have been keeping an eye on the schedule, waiting for an official return date for their favorite shows, and we now know when Blue Bloods will return for its final season, as well as when CBS will premiere other beloved shows. On July 13, the network released its Fall 2024 schedule, which includes new season premiere dates for Blue Bloods, Fire Country, SWAT, and many other shows.
Premiere week officially begins in mid-October, but a few shows will return earlier, in September. Among them is Survivor, which launches on September 18. This will be followed by 48 Hours on September 21st and 60 Minutes on September 22nd, with the network presenting a preview of the new series Matlock following the launch of 60 Minutes on September 22nd. September will also feature an early peek of the upcoming series The Summit, which premieres on September 29th.
The official start of CBS’s premiere week, which will go until October 27, is October 14th, when NCIS returns for Season 22 and the spinoff NCIS: Origins premieres. On Tuesday, October 15, the Dick Wolfe FBI trifecta returns, with FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted. The Summit will premiere in its time slot on October 16th, followed by the Young Sheldon spinoff Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage on the 17th, the Season 4 premiere of Ghosts, the Matlock time slot premiere, and the Season 2 premiere of Elsbeth. The week continues on Friday, October 18th, with the Season 8 premiere of SWAT, the Season 3 premiere of Fire Country, and the series finale of Blue Bloods.
The following week, because premiere week is never just one week, the Season 7 debut of The Neighborhood and the series premiere of Poppa’s House will air on Monday, October 21st. Season 2 of Justin Hartley’s Tracker and Season 5 of The Equalizer will premiere on Sunday, October 27th.
