ERIC CHRISTIAN OLSEN portrays the loveable Marty Deeks in NCIS Los Angeles. But who is the actor married to in real life?
Unlike Agents Sam Hanna (played by LL Cool J), Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Kensi Byle (Daniela Ruah), Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) didn’t appear in NCIS Los Angeles from the beginning. He was introduced in the 19th episode of the first series as a detective with the Los Angeles Police Department but then went on to work with the NCIS. Over the years, he has become a fan-favourite on the CBS cr1me drama and a key member of the team.
Marty has had a flirtatious relationship with Kensi from the very beginning but it wasn’t until season six that they became an official couple.
Fans have been able to watch their highs and lows and were thrilled when they finally got married.
Marty and Kensi tied the knot in season 10 episode 17’s Till D3ath Do Us Part where Operations Manager Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt) led the ceremony.
Now the happy couple are even talking about starting a family together.
Who is NCIS LA’s Marty Deeks actor married to?
While Marty and Kensi seem like the perfect pair on screen, the actors are not actually together in real life.
Actor Eric Christian Olsen is instead married to fellow actress Sarah Wright.
Originally from Kentucky, Wright moved to Chicago after she was discovered by a modelling agent.
Her first major role was as Paige Chase in Quintuplets in 2004, before working on The Loop, 7th Heaven and film The House Bunny.
Wright also played Tiffany in CBS series Mad Love in 2011.
One of her longest and more popular roles was in NBC’s Parks and Recreation where she played Millicent Gergich for two years.
She was then in sitcom Marry Me in 2014 and then starred alongside Tom Cruise in action biography American Made in 2017.
Most recently, Wright featured in Netflix’s ice-skating series Spinning Out as Mandy Davis.
But it was actually on the set of The Loop that she met her husband-to-be.
Olsen and Wright met in 2006 while they both worked on Fox comedy The Loop.
Wright played Lizzy while Olsen portrayed Sully Sullivan until the show ended in 2007.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Wright admitted she didn’t like Olsen at first.
She said: “I thought you [Olsen] were a big jerk.
“But at the first table read you laughed at my jokes and came up to me and apologized.”
Luckily, they spent more time together and dated for five years before getting engaged in 2011 and then married the year after.
Olsen and Wright now have two children together and recently announced they were expecting a third child.
Speaking on The Talk about the proposal, Olsen said he did it while on a trip to Mexico.
He said when he got down on one knee, he told Wright: “Nobody makes me laugh more. Nobody makes me happier.
Nobody is going to be a better mother.
“I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?
