NCIS’ Pauley Perrette resorted to social media to describe an unusual manner she dealt with a new ailment.
Fans of NCIS may remember her as Chief Forensic Scientist Abigail “Abby” Beethoven Sciuto, but she left the program a few years ago.
For those who wish to relive some of the excellent episodes starring Pauley as Abby, they are all accessible to stream on Paramount+.
Perhaps the show will find a way to include her again before the series finale, but for the time being, she is content to enjoy her retirement from television.
“Pretty sure (totally sure) I broke my pinkie toe,” Pauley captioned a recent Instagram image.
“So I made a splint,” she explained, holding up a photo of her foot.

The image shows a close-up of Pauley’s foot with a splint she made out of a package of batteries.
Many of her followers have already expressed their support, with some ensuring that she is taking care of herself.
“Not at all enjoyable. I’ve heard that what you did was the best thing to do, unless it’s an open fracture, in which case you’ll need it set, stitched, and antibiotics. One user remarked on her post, “Just my personal understanding, not a medical opinion.”
