NCIS fans will remember what a key part of the team Abby Sciuto was but where is actor Pauley Perrette now?
NCIS fans loved the character of Abby Sciuto (played by Pauley Perrette) who starred in the hit procedural for 15 seasons before she left back in 2018. Now, some viewers might be wondering what the actor has been up to since and where they can see her next – here’s everything you need to know.
Where is Abby Sciuto star Pauley Perrette now?
First introduced in the JAG pilots for NCIS, Abby was one of the original team members in the long-running CBS show.
The quirky and gothic forensic scientist was a favourite among fans for her bright demeanour on the team.
Viewers also loved her relationships with her surrogate father figure Leroy Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and her squabbling sibling vibe with Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly).
Therefore, fans were devastated when she announced her exit from the show in season 15.
Her final appearance came in the season 15 episodes One Step Forward and Two Steps Back when Abby was involved in a brutal storyline.
This came after MI6 agent Clayton Reeves (Duane Henry) was killed while protecting Abby from a hitman hired to murder her.
She was seriously wounded as well and then resigned from NCIS to go to England with Reeves’ body and start a charity in his name.
Back in 2017, Perrette revealed she was leaving the show on Twitter to her fans.
She wrote: “I hope everyone will love and enjoy EVERYTHING ABBY not only for the rest of this season but for everything she has given all of us for 16 years.
“All the love, all the laughter, all the inspiration…I love her as much as you do.”
Since her last appearance on the show, some fans have been wondering what the actor has been up to.
While she was starring on NCIS, Perette had a number of roles alongside the series.
This included voicing Nickleby in Fantasy Hospital and Robin in When We Rise.
However, her first acting role after NCIS was in the new CBS sitcom Broke at the start of 2020.
She played the lead role of Jackie in the show who was a single suburban mother whose life is turned upside down when her sister lands on her doorstep.
Unfortunately, the series was cancelled after just one season and will not be returning again.
Responding to the cancellation, Perrette posted on Twitter: “About the ‘limited series’ #BROKE many new episodes are airing.
“This show restored my faith in people, in this industry. SO GRATEFUL I worked with this cast & crew.
“Best people I’ve EVER worked with. Healed me. Changed me. Made me whole. So Blessed.”
Aside from acting, Perrette also co-owns Donna Bell’s Bake Shop in Manhattan, New York City.
She has also had a successful singing career fronting an all-female band called Lo-Ball.
