NCIS Season 20: Will Cote de Pablo Reprise Her Role as Ziva David?

NCIS Season 20 will premiere soon, and fans are curious whether an old favorite will return. Cote de Pablo has not played Ziva David in more than three years. Is she coming back?

Where Is Ziva David from NCIS’s Cote de Pablo?

Season 20 of NCIS is about to begin. There have been many memorable characters and storylines over the years. However, one of the most well-known characters was Ziva David, played by Cote de Pablo.

Ziva was the scumbag agent, a former Mossad agent with a complicated family history. Her flirtatious banter with fellow agent Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) added to the character’s intrigue.

But where has Cote de Pablo been in recent years? In addition, could she return to NCIS for Season 20?

What Has Cote de Pablo Been Up To Since Leaving the CBS Series?

Her most recent project, according to IMDb, is a short film called The Crossing. Cote de Pablo appeared in a few projects in the six years between NCIS appearances, including a television limited series called The Dovekeepers and a TV movie called Prototype.

However, Deadline reported in 2018 that Cote and Michael Weatherly were reuniting to executive produce MIA. This was to be a CBS detective drama written and executive produced by Shepard Boucher (Upload).

This endeavor, however, has yielded no new results.

Will NCIS Finally Get Their Tiva Reunion?

The return of Mark Harmon as Leroy Jethro Gibbs and the reunion of Tony and Ziva are without a doubt the top two items on every NCIS fan’s wish list. They’ve been waiting for that to happen for nearly a decade.

Is it possible for Michael Weatherly to guest star on the series now that his show Bull has concluded? When TVLine asked showrunner Steven D. Binder about Weatherly, he didn’t seem to think he’d be back anytime soon.

“I’ve known him for a while, and I think he should relax and go somewhere tropical.” I haven’t asked him about it, but we’ve talked about it over the years, so that’s my guess.”

Does this imply that no? It’s not even close. NCIS has a penchant for surprising viewers. Furthermore, no questions were raised about a potential reunion or whether Cote de Pablo is willing and interested in returning to the series.

One thing is certain: if the writers can come up with a compelling reason for the two to reunite, they have a good chance of making it happen.

NCIS Season 20 will premiere on CBS on Monday, September 19, at 8 p.m. Eastern. Because this is a crossover episode, the NCIS Hawaii Season 2 premiere is immediately following at 9 p.m. Eastern.
