‘NCIS’: Our Favorite Cast Members Through the Years

NCIS has been going strong since 2003. Unfortunately, many of our favorite characters have left the show. Here’s a look at some of our favorite NCIS cast members through the years.

Michael Weatherly

Michael Weatherly played Tony DiNozzo. One of Weatherly’s early acting roles was in a 1991 episode of The Cosby Show titled “Theo’s Final Final.” He played the role of Theo’s roommate. That same year, he appeared in an episode of the daytime drama Guiding Light. In 1992, Weatherly had recurring role on the daytime drama Loving. He played the character Cooper Alden for 15 episodes. Weatherly reprised his role as Cooper Alden in The City. As of this writing, Weatherly stars in the CBS series Bull, playing lead character Jason Bull.

Pauley Perrette

Pauley Perrette played Abby Sciuto. One of her early acting roles was in a 1994 ABC Afterschool Specials titled “Magical Make-Over.” She played the role of Shannon. In 1996, she landed a recurring role on the television series Murder One, in which she played the role of Gwen until 1997. After that show ended, Perrette appeared on many TV shows, including FrasierThe Drew Carey ShowThat’s LifeDawson’s Creek, and Special Unit 2.  

Sasha Alexander

Sasha Alexander played agent Caitlin “Kate” Todd on NCIS from 2003 to 2005. Sasha Alexander made her acting debut in the 1997 movie Visceral Matter, in which she played the role of Karen Chambers. Alexander landed her first recurring role in the television series Wasteland, in which she played the character Jesse Presser for 13 episodes in 1999. Her next recurring role was in Dawson’s Creek. She played Gretchen Witter from 2000 to 2001. Her other acting roles include appearances in CSI: Crime Scene InvestigationFriends, and Mission: Impossible III.

Cote de Pablo

Cote de Pablo played Ziva David from 2005 to 2013. She reprised her role for five episodes from 2019 to 2020. She made her acting debut in a 2000 episode of the television series The $treet, in which she played the character Fiona. In 2004, she landed a recurring role in the TV series The Jury. She played the role of Marguerite Cisneros for 10 episodes. Her other acting credits include appearances in The Dovekeepers (2015), The 33 (2015), and Prototype (2016).  

Lauren Holly

Lauren Holly joined the cast of NCIS as Director Jenny Shepard in 2005 and left in 2015. Holly made her acting debut in a 1984 episode of Hill Street Blues titled “Ewe and Me Babe.” She played Carla Walicki. Holly secured her first recurring television role in the series Picket Fences, in which she played Maxine Stewart from 1992 to 1996. She then moved on to star in Chicago Hope as Dr. Jeremy Hanlon from 1999 to 2000.

Holly made her film debut in the 1985 movie Seven Minutes to Heaven, in which she played the character Lisa. Her other film roles include appearances in Dumb and DumberBeautiful GirlsSabrina, and What Women Want

Maria Bello

Maria Bello played Jack Sloane from 2017 to 2021. One of Bello’s early acting roles was in the 1992 movie Maintenance, in which she played Eddie. After that, she played a former film student in a 1995 episode of the television series Misery Loves Company titled “That Book by Nabokov.”

Bello starred in her first television series as a cast regular when she joined the show Mr. and Mrs. Smith. She played the role of Mrs. Smith from 1996 to 1997. The following year, she joined the cast of ER as Dr. Anna Del Amico from 1997 to 1998. Bello’s other acting roles include appearances in Coyote UglyThank You for Smoking, and Grownups 2.
