We have a month until the return of CBS’s hit drama NCIS. However, fans of its sister show, NCIS: Los Angeles, will have to wait a few more weeks. The 14th season of NCIS: Los Angeles premieres on Sunday, October 9th. While it is not the longest-running show on television, it does have network seniority. NCIS: Los Angeles cast members are reflecting on the series’ long-term success ahead of the upcoming premiere.

“When we first started, I figured it’d be a couple of years [running],” LL Cool J, who plays NCIS Special Agent Sam Hanna, said of the show’s longevity. However, nearly 14 years later, the original NCIS spinoff appears to have no end in sight.

According to an ET segment, NCIS: Los Angeles has already surpassed 300 episodes. With 20-something episodes planned per season, we wouldn’t be surprised if the long-running spinoff surpassed the original series’ 400+ episodes.

Eric Christian Olsen, who has played NCIS: Los Angeles investigator Marty Deeks since the show’s inception in 2009, also spoke out about the show’s ongoing success. “I couldn’t have dreamed of, you know, what we’ve done, and the fact that we’re going on to season 14 is just, it’s surreal,” he said.

Hetty Lange will return for Season 14 of ‘NCIS: Los Angeles.’

NCIS: Los Angeles fans were overjoyed when it was announced that the cr1me drama would return a few months ago. Longtime fans were ecstatic, however, when showrunners announced that series regular Linda Hunt would be returning. Many readers are familiar with Hunt’s portrayal of the beloved character Hetty Lange.

Hetty Lange, who oversees NCIS’s Special Operations initiatives, has been on a covert mission in the Middle East for just over a year. As a result, she has recently appeared in only a few episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles. However, when the drama was renewed for season 14, the showrunners revealed that Linda Hunt would also return on a regular basis. With only a few weeks until the long-awaited premiere, we take a look at Hetty’s storyline after her anticipated return.

The plan for the new season, according to showrunner R. Scott Gemmill, is to “go and rescue her at some point, find out what she’s gotten herself into.” We’re just trying to figure out when we’ll be able to pull that off.”

The NCIS: Los Angeles showrunner went on to say that the plan had been to do the same thing last year. Unfortunately, the show’s efforts to keep Linda Hunt (77) healthy were hampered by an increase in C0V1D 19 cases.

Chris O’Donnell, a G Callen actor, is sure to share our excitement about Linda Hunt’s return. For years, O’Donnell’s character has had a special relationship with Hetty. So it’s understandable that he thinks so highly of her acting.

“Some of the scenes with Linda Hunt,” he previously explained, “are so amazing you don’t know what to expect… She has such a command of the English language and the way words flow off her tongue that I never know what to expect.”
