Following the termination of “NCIS: Los Angeles,” Eric Christian Olsen, well known for his role as Marty Deeks, made an unexpected announcement on Instagram.
Olsen confirmed his involvement in a new project with CBS, a reworking of the 1980s legal drama “Matlock,” starring Academy Award winner Kathy Bates.
Olsen will not only co-executive produce the show through his company Cloud Nine Productions but expressed his excitement in collaborating with the talented cast and crew.
Fans of “NCIS: LA” rejoiced at Olsen’s career advancement, eager to see him in a new role.
The reinvented “Matlock” will follow Madeline Matlock (Bates) as she returns to a famous law office to solve cases and expose unethical activities using innovative ways.
While it’s unknown whether Olsen will join the cast, Jason Ritter is expected to play a key role.
