Could Eleanor Bishop be returning to NCIS? Some fans believe that he will make a comeback soon.
Emily Wickersham’s character last appeared on the show in the season 18 finale, when she left the team under the guise of being disgraced after leaking an NSA document. This, however, was a pretext for an undercover operation.
Things were left open-ended, and some Reddit users speculated that a return, even if only for a few episodes, could be on the way.
“You know how tue [sic] directors always want to keep their doors open to actors and how she left with an unfinished story, do you think we could see at least a 1-2 episode cameo in like season 22 or 23?” one fan asked.
“I honestly believe she will return at some point. It’s not like she has a beef with the producers or anything,” a follow-up comment has been added.
“She stepped out to have a child, and the child has now been born,” it was stated. “Give it a season or two, and she might return for a couple of episodes to wrap up this plotline.”
Wickersham welcomed a baby in December, sharing photos and writing at the time: “Cassius Wickersham Dale was born on December 30, 21st, just in time to join the New Year’s Eve celebrations. You are more than @jamesbadgedale and I could have hoped for. We are completely smitten by you “.

Wickersham announced her departure last year on Instagram: “Hanging up my hat and jacket. What a fantastic ride it’s been. This cast and crew are fantastic. I can’t say enough nice things about this group, with whom I’ve had the pleasure of working for nearly 8 years and 172 episodes.
“This industry is finicky and strange, and consistency is rare. I’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of a show where I got to show up, act, laugh, and learn alongside wonderful people. I’ll never forget that moment in time.
“Thank you, CBS and NCIS, for allowing me to be a part of television history. Time flies by. Consume it, but chew slowly.”
