‘NCIS’: Pauley Perrette’s Thoughts on Mark Harmon Since Leaving the Show

Pauley Perrette portrayed forensic scientist Abby Sciuto on NCIS for 15 seasons. Perrette was a fan favorite as an original cast member, along with Mark Harmon (Leroy Gibbs) and David McCallum (Ducky Mallard).

It was quite a surprise when she abruptly left. But it wasn’t just because her character was popular with the audience. What was surprising was the reason for her departure. Here’s everything Perrette has said about Harmon since her departure from NCIS.

The former ‘NCIS’ star had to leave due to a dog bite.

As previously reported by Cheat Sheet, Perrette and Harmon’s relationship soured after he brought Dave, his pit bull mix, to the NCIS set. Harmon’s dog then bit one of the crew members, who required 15 stitches.

Harmon continued to bring his dog to the set despite the att4ck. This irritated Perrette, so she chastised her co-star for her unprofessional behavior. According to Vanity Fair, the end result was that Harmon and Perrette agreed not to work together again.

According to Pauley Perrette, she was silenced by ‘a machine.’

Perrette took to Twitter following her departure from the CBS procedural to explain that the media was spreading false information about her. She also stated that “he did it,” but she did not specify who or what “he” or “it” was. However, it was assumed that she was referring to Harmon.

“There is a’machine’ that keeps me silent and feeds FALSE stories about me. A very wealthy and powerful publicity’machine.’ There are no morals, no responsibilities to the truth, and I’m just left here, reading the lies and trying to protect my crew. Trying to stay calm. On May 13, 2018, Pauley tweeted, “He did it.”

The actress has stated that she will never return to ‘NCIS.’

Perrette quickly moved on to a new CBS series after leaving NCIS. Broke, a sitcom that debuted in April 2020, did not last more than one season.

Many fans wondered if Perrette would ever return to NCIS in the year leading up to her new sitcom. However, she dashed their hopes when she tweeted that she would never return.

“NO, I AM NOT RETURNING!” EVER! (Would you please stop asking?) I’m terr1fied of Harmon and what he’ll do to me. Perrette wrote, “I have nightmares about it.”

Pauley Perrette claimed to have been abused.

Perrette took to social media again to lash out at Harmon after MacGyver star Lucas Till revealed that he was suicidal after working with abusive showrunner Kevin Lenkov.

“I’ve known for a long time about his abuse. Some of the words were EXACTLY what I and SO MANY others said to CBS HR about THAT OTHER GUY’S abuse for over a decade, and you STILL support him on my old show. “Oh, yeah, as usual, #MoneyOverMorals,” Perrette tweeted.

She had ‘no explanation’ for why Harmon was still on ‘NCIS,’ but she wasn’t.

“He’s still around. And there are things said on set at that show that are SO RACIST, SO MISOGYNIST, SO HOMOPHOBIC, and SO CRUEL that I have never spoken of because the language is SO HURTFUL. And you were wondering why I left? Those producers are still working. Every single one of them. “Including HIM,” wrote Perrette.

It’s unclear what Perrette will do next now that Broke has been canceled, but she has expressed an interest in writing. She’s also a musician, and she’s been working on new material. In March 2020, she released a song titled Spin Out on her Twitter feed, hinting that there would be more to come.
