Fans of ‘NCIS’ Have Discovered An Incredible Fact About Sean Murray

Throughout NCIS’ 20 seasons, the cast has changed, but there has always been one constant that fans are only now realizing is significant. Since the first season, Sean Murray, who plays Senior Field Agent Timothy McGee, has been credited in more episodes than former lead Mark Harmon. Murray is only second to David McCallum, who played M.E. and NCIS historian Ducky, according to Reddit.

To be more specific, Sean Murray has appeared in the most episodes since IMDb has been incorrectly crediting both Harmon and McCallum. However, as of the most recent episode, the actor had appeared in 438 episodes, according to IMDb.

Murray’s long tenure on the procedural is an impressive feat, with no signs of leaving D.C. anytime soon. He’s transformed from an awkward rookie to a lovable NCIS agent, husband, and father in front of our eyes.

Because Sean Murray is still on NCIS, a reunion with some of his former coworkers is long overdue. Fans have been clamoring for more Ziva David since Cote de Pablo’s arc in Season 17, especially with Michael Weatherly’s Tony DiNozzo by her side. Of course, a reunion wouldn’t be complete without the return of Mark Harmon’s Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Pauley Perrette’s Abby Sciuto, but bringing the entire cast back together may be a pipe dream. You never know what might happen as long as NCIS is on the air.

The CBS series has been renewed for Season 21, and as long as nothing traumatic happens in the Season 20 finale, which is a 50/50 shot given NCIS’ previous finales, we shouldn’t have to worry about McGee leaving. While agents have come and gone over the years, Timothy McGee has always been there and will always be, at least for the time being.

With only a few episodes left in the season, no one knows what the NCIS team will get up to or what cases they will take on. If there’s one thing you won’t want to miss, it’s this, and how they set up the historic 21st season will be something to look forward to. Of course, seeing McGee take command is something to look forward to every week, and it will be worth watching as long as he is still on.
