In the upcoming 14th season of Blue Bloods, CBS viewers may finally see Danny and Beaz fall in love.

Blue Bloods has captivated audiences since its debut in 2010 with its family-centered procedural storyline.

The drama follows the Reagan family as they each take on different roles in law enforcement before reuniting for their weekly Sunday dinner.

Fans saw Detective Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) and his partner Det. Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) become inextricably closer on Friday.

Danny used all of his resources to ensure Baez’s safety when her life was threatened, and he became extremely protective of her.

As a result, viewers urged the pair to take their friendship to the next level and get romantically involved.

Fortunately for fans, it appears that the friends may finally be moving forward after actor Donnie Wahlberg dropped a major hint.

A Twitter user named @BrandyLamberth shared a photo of the detectives dancing hand in hand at the precinct and wrote, “Danny and Maria need to be doing this in “their” kitchen…Please, #BlueBloods, make it happen.”

When Wahlberg saw the tweet, he replied cryptically, “Deal,” with a blue and red heart emoji.

Fans have wished for their relationship to be more than platonic since Baez was introduced in season three and assigned to Danny.

It was revealed at the time that the pair had been friends for over ten years prior to working together.

Baez is also one of the few friends invited to the Reagans’ usually exclusive family dinner.

The desire for a Danny and Baez romance was fueled after the detective revealed he was ready to date again following the d3ath of his wife, Linda Reagan (Amy Carlson), in season eight.

Because season 13 is coming to an end this month, any romances between the two are likely to take place in the recently confirmed season 14.

The plot will be a significant departure from showrunner Kevin Wade’s previous rebuttal.

In 2021, he put an end to rumors by telling TV Insider, “We recognize it, and the actors certainly like each other, in front of the camera and between setups.”

“I’m going to age myself here with Sam and Diane from Cheers, but once it happens, there’s nowhere to go.”

“There aren’t many stories about happy couples, and even fewer about police detectives on the job who have a personal relationship with their partner,” Kevin added.
