Donnie Wahlberg is grateful for CBS renewing its long-running police drama, “Blue Bloods,” for a 14th season. In an interview with ET’s Nischelle Turner, Wahlberg, famed for both his music career with New Kids on the Block and his part on the program, expressed his excitement.

“I’m just so grateful, you know?” Wahlberg says. “It’s incredible to be doing so many things that I enjoy.”

Reflecting on his nearly 40-year music career and 13-year run on “Blue Bloods,” Wahlberg admits to having occasional thoughts about hanging up his fictitious badge, but finds encouragement in the endurance of shows like “Law & Order” and his closeness with his “Blue Bloods” family.

“I have a great cast that has become family, a great crew, and so many loyal viewers and fans,” he remarks. “It’s simply unbelievable.”

“Blue Bloods” has routinely dominated Friday nights, ranking first among primetime shows and third among broadcast dramas. CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach compliments the show’s continued popularity and dramatic storyline.

“Led by Tom Selleck and an incredible cast and creative team, viewers continue to love the Reagans, their law enforcement family, and the series’ dramatic storytelling,” says Reisenbach.

With anticipation for another season, fans eagerly await the continuation of the Reagan family saga at the dinner table and on the streets of New York City.
